My film Green Animals, is based off of the life of my Great-Great Uncle
George Mendonça who was a topiary gardener in Portsmouth, RI.

The piece is a visual retelling of when George met his wife Mary for the first time,
only with a fictional twist. When Mary, a resident of the garden comes to offer
George some lemonade her nerves get the better of her. That is when the garden's topiary animals come to life to encourage the couple to meet face to face.

The concept behind this piece was to capture the essence of the real garden & its former residents. 2D & 3D animation techniques were used to give it a unique storybook look.
